From Rave Safe to Oordoppenstore.nl — and back
Rave Safe was created for live music. When the COVID-19 pandemic brought festivals to a halt, our belief did not change, but our market temporarily did. We continued as Oordoppenstore.nl and adapted our range so the earplugs could be used for other purposes as well. As soon as music festivals returned in the Netherlands, we brought the focus back to Rave Safe.
A temporary change of direction, not a new destination
The name changed during the pandemic because the world around us changed. The common thread stayed the same: practical hearing protection and reliable customer service.

Built for festivals and live music
Before the pandemic, Rave Safe focused entirely on festival visitors and other live-music fans. That is where the brand came from and where our product development was centered.
02 · COVID-19
The switch to Oordoppenstore.nl
When festivals disappeared during COVID-19, the market Rave Safe had been built for temporarily disappeared too. We therefore moved from ravesafe.nl to oordoppenstore.nl and made our range suitable for broader use.
03 · Festivals return
Back to what Rave Safe stands for
When music festivals were allowed again in the Netherlands, we chose a sharp Rave Safe focus once more. The temporary broadening had served its purpose; live music became the clear starting point again.

Previous customers remain our customers
Oordoppenstore.nl is no longer our webshop, but questions, complaints and warranty requests about previous purchases can still be handled through our customer service.

Focus beats broad positioning
The pandemic temporarily pushed us outside our original category. When festivals returned, it made sense to choose the market where Rave Safe is most distinctive: hearing protection for festivals, concerts and nights out. Not everything for everyone, but a clear solution for people who love loud music and want to protect their hearing.

Today our attention is once again on festival earplugs and the Startset. We carry the service and product knowledge from Oordoppenstore.nl forward, while the positioning is clear again: Rave Safe belongs with live music.
